Yamaha's Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.) Treatment appears in this guitar. By heat-treating the tonewoods, this FG5 plays with the sustain and character of more aged woods, giving the overall sound of this Yamaha an experienced and lived-in one. This classic combination of woods is met with a scalloped FG bracing pattern to enhance projection, balance, and overall tonal color. Across this FG5, its tonewoods exhibit a vivid tonal palette readymade for flatpicking, songwriting, and much more.
