Down At Dawn present a reissue of Clifford Brown's New Star On The Horizon, originally issued as a mono 10-inch on Blue Note in 1953. This improved reissue features four bonus tracks on the B side. From the original liner notes: "The date took place just a week before Brownie took off for Europe, as a member of that vast edifice built by the master of multiple decibels, the Lionel Hampton orchestra. Like Gigi Gryce, the alto saxophonist and fellow-Hamptonian whom Brownie pressed into service for this session, the young hornman found the occasions for expressing his individual personality few and far between in so large and monolithic an organization. The opportunity to record with a small, compact group, aimed at the creation of originality and relaxation rather than intensity and consternation, was a welcome change of setting for the two eager youngsters. A third Hampton star also helped to mold this date. He had also been installed for some time in Hamp's trumpet section, but is perhaps known better as an arranger, and it is in the latter capacity that Quincy Jones, a new star from Boston, contributed two originals, 'Wail Bait' and 'Brownie Eyes', for the Brown session. Completing the front line is Charlie Rouse, a tenor man whom most fans will remember from the famous Tadd Dameron conclave that produced 'The Squirrel', 'Our Delight', 'Dameronia', etc. Charlie has also been heard in the orchestras of Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, and others."

Great dog birthday gift
Love it. Is it the best ball ever? No. I love it because my dog can find it if he lost track of it while I was poorly throwing the ball. Also, if it starta getting dark out and he has it in his mouth, I know exactly where he is.
The glow is great! Pretty bright, changes colors, activatws after a hard bounce.
Changing the battery is easy and just takes a screwdriver.
Bounce is pretty good.
Dog really likes it. He likes things that glow.
It has held up so far, and one of the other dogs, who likes to destroy things, got ahold of it. He is working on not wrecking things, but I know he tried for a little bit and there has been no damage.
The ball does have quite a bit of heft to it, so a small-ish dog isn't going to like the size or weight, likely.

A bit pricey, but then again, our new inflated economy
Nite Ize makes great products. I especially like the extended time the ball stays lit. Especially for those times the dog decides not to retrieve and you're searching the ground for the ball in the dark.
It's heavy. Good for power chewers. Not a lot of bounce but then again the light function is the primary goal.

Stopped working the 2nd day
I realize I am the minority. This ball has great reviews. So it has to just be my bad luck. But it worked great the 1st day. Had some problems with getting it to turn on the next day. After that it never came on again. I bought new batteries and put 2 new batteries in it. It still did not light up. Other than that, it’s great and seems durable. I just can’t get the lights to work on it.

Very durable and my dog loves it.
This is a great ball for the dog. It is very durable and has led light inside. Easy for me to throw and great for playing with my dog. No noise just the lights. What a great value. Even the smaller dogs can play with this one. Smaller and lighter .
