Tales from Maliseet Country: The Maliseet Texts of Karl V. TeeterDuring the summer of 1963, Harvard linguist Karl V. Teeter traveled along the Saint John River, the great thoroughfare of Native New Brunswick, Canada, with his principal Maliseet consultant, Peter Lewis Paul. During the summer of 1963, Harvard linguist Karl V. Teeter traveled along the Saint John River, the great thoroughfare of Native New Brunswick, Canada, with his principal Maliseet consultant, Peter Lewis Paul. Together they recorded a series of tales from Maliseet elders whom Paul regarded as among the best Maliseet storytellers born before 1900, including Charles Laporte, Matilda Sappier, Solomon Polchies, William Saulis, and Alexander Sacobie. Paul also contributed eleven narratives of his own. Tales from Maliseet Country presents the transcripts and translations of the texts Teeter collected, together with one tale recorded by linguist Philip S. LeSourd in 1977. The stories range from chronicles of shamanistic activity and mysterious events of the distant past, through more conventionally historical narratives, to frankly fictional yarns, fairy tales with roots in European traditions, and personal accounts of subsistence activities and reservation life. This entertaining and revealing volume testifies to the rich heritage of the Maliseets and the enduring vibrancy of their culture today. Featuring a bilingual format, with Maliseet and English on facing pages, this is the first extensive collection to be published in the Maliseet language, a member of the far-flung Algonquian family spoken in New Brunswick. The volume is also the first to provide full phonemic transcriptions, including the notation of accentual contrasts, of the Maliseet tales. An authoritative introduction provides a guide to interpreting the texts.Binding Type: Paperback

Item is as described, and actually a bit more sturdy than I had expected.
Color: Black
If someone was looking for top end, this wouldn't be that. But I never expected it to be, considering that the structure was quite accurately described. It has a fine look for the shelf underneath my printer, the structure is solid enough for me to have put a new 500 sheet package of paper and paper tray on the middle of the top without the top drawer sagging, so no problems with opening and closing, nor does it cause side to side wobble of the drawers.
The drawers are fabric lined, which does a great job of keeping the items inside arranged as I have placed them.
This is a review from very early in the use of the product, so I can't speak to longevity, although for my usage needs, I anticipate no problems there, either. No assembly involved, and it's at a reasonable price point. Plus, since my desk and printer stand are of similar colors and simple design, the fit is seamless. I'm entirely satisfied.

Premium quality
Color: Black Linen Texture
This is a premium looking and feeling drawer organizer. No assembly required and the drawer action is very smooth. The quality of the material is nice and thick and doesn’t feel cheap at all. Very sturdy and you can place pretty heavy objects on top without worry; maybe 20lbs or so. Great size for all your little gadgets or accessories and the clean modern looks sleek on your desktop. Just the price feels a bit expensive.
