Great way to teach a lesson of cooperation

This book is so cute and teaches a lesson in a fun way. My 3 year old asks for this one a lot. Illustrations are beautiful.

Lionni's Swimmy was a favorite in our house
Format: Hardcover
Swimmy was one of my daughter's all-time favorite books (we "owned" one of the local library's copies for over a year; we just kept renewing it). Its themes of not being afraid to be different, to be oneself, or to be a leader--and above all, of what can be accomplished through cooperation are messages all children need to hear. The illustrations are so beautiful and the story so delightful that children are not even aware that they are being taught important life lessons.

My 2.5 year old loves the illustrations
This is a sweet story with really interesting visuals. My daughter loves looking at all the details on the pages and talking about the colors, and designs, etc. as we move through the story. Very sweet.
