2018 release. Music Is The Answer: The Complete Collection is the first full length release of long lost 1971 sessions from the East L.A. supergroup God's Children, featuring eight never-before-issued tracks as well as six from long out of print 45s. "With God's Children, we thought we could speak to the people out there who were hurting, experiencing life and it's battles" states the outfit's co-founder Little Willie G. Garcia. For young Latinos Willie Garcia, Ray Jimenez, and Lydia Amescua - the main voices in the group - the door was abierto, and the time was ahora for a mixed-gender, multi-racial Southern Californian combo to stake their claim in rock 'n' soul redemption. God's Children was conceived of by Garcia and Lil' Ray Jimenez who had already experienced great regional success with Thee Midniters, crowned princes of the Eastside Los Angeles music scene, who cast the mold for brown-eyed soul and helped define West Coast low rider music in the early '60s. Thee Midniters eventually ran it's course but Lil' Ray and Willie both agreed to work together on a new project, adding a teenage girl with a big voice, Lydia Amescua - to be known as Amesqua in the group - to the mix. Inspired by the work of artists diverse as Johnny Rivers and Stevie Wonder, God's Children began to blend doo wop, funk, and choreography into their new brand of soulful sound. Studio time was booked and arranged for a 40-piece orchestra. Soon, the band was signed to the UNi label and sent into the studio for more recording, this time with Phil Spector's famed Wrecking Crew. At the time, two singles came out on UNi, but soon, dealing with label hierarchy disillusioned the band members who went their separate ways. These holy relics of Latino Rock conjure the circumstances and conditions under which they were made, and also the sounds of right now: elation and heartbreak, pride of celebration and the ceremonies of Spanish-speaking Californians, living their lives out loud, contributing to the evolution of Chicano rock from Santana and El Chicano, to the Zeros and Ozomatli.

Too thin, neck portion too hard to position to sport the classic turtleneck look.
Color: White, Size: Medium
Too thin. The neck won't hold a clean look, the neck portion bunches and double/triple folds and I can't get that cool turtleneck look with it that I had with my first white turtleneck that I loved so much I wore it out. This one doesn't measure up. If you just want this kind of shirt to wear in warm weather it's good for that because it's very thin.

Surprised by what a great sweater this turned out to be!
Size: Large, Color: Navy
I purchased three of these, various colors.
I'm 6'1" /160 lbs. (long and lean) and a large is a great fit without being too loose or bulky. Holds its shape nicely for about 5-6 wearings before it starts to stretch outβparticularly the turtleneck. I totally ignored the washing instructions and machine-washed (front-loader) all three sweaters with other items in cold water, regular HE liquid detergent, rapid-spin dry, then dried them in the dryer on delicate, lowest temperature setting for 30 minutes. They came out 98% dry and perfectly re-shaped with no shrinkage.
The sweater is supple and soft, and warm and comfortable to about 60Β°F, after which it's a little warm (for me.) I cannot think of any reason to not purchase one: great fit, great look, great comfort, great price.

Love this Sweater!

Had my doubts, but this sweater is great! The color is great, follow the care instructions, and this sweater will not let you down. Feels great, fits great, no shrinkage, and looks excellent. Does it pill? Yes, expect it, but I also bought the
BEAUTURAL Fabric Shaver and Lint Remover, Sweater Defuzzer with 2-Speeds. And it works beautifully not only on this sweater when needed, but also on my winter beanies and other clothes, which now look like new.
My advice then. Buy the de-piller and buy this Sweater. I have purchased six, and I love these sweaters, especially now that I know how to best care for and keep them like new.

SEXY BLACK TURTLENECK SWEATER!
Size: X-Large, Color: Black
This is soft, looks amazing on my husband who is a big guy (6β2β @245) so not everything fits all the time. Sleeves are long enough, and the sweater looks great on him. Soft material, nice collar rate 10/10. Will try and get a nice pic of him in it!
