Vintage Japanese Kutani Set Of 5 Whistling Sake Cups Seated Figure DesignA vintage set of five Kutani style whistling sake cups, each cup has a series of three seated figures wrapped around the glass with the whistling stem to one side. Each cup is footed, with a terracotta band and a gold rim to top edge, measuring at approximately 5cm in diameter and 3cm in height. If you have not encountered whistling sake cups before they are designed to make a whistling sound when the cup is lifted from the table, emulating bird song.
