Product Overview

Graphene is a two-dimensional carbon nanomaterial composed of carbon atoms in a hexagonal honeycomb lattice, with numerous unique properties, widely used in various fields. The research on graphene can be traced back to 1948, when Austrian scientists Russ and Wager were the first to use transmission electron microscopy to capture images of a small amount of graphene layers. In 2004, British scientists Andrei Geim and Konstantin Novoselov successfully peeled off a single layer of graphene, which attracted widespread attention and won them the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics.
Graphene is a two-dimensional carbon element, and single-layer graphene is composed of single-layer carbon atoms. Each carbon atom is connected in sp ² hybrid form to form a hexagonal honeycomb like two-dimensional structure. The C-C bond length in graphene is about 0.142nm, the bond angle is 120 °, and the thickness is only 0.35nm.
Graphene is currently one of the strongest known materials, with excellent mechanical, electrical, and optical properties. It has a low resistivity and superior conductivity, and the quantum Hall effect can be observed at room temperature. In addition, graphene also possesses transparency and nonlinear optical properties.
The reactivity of graphene is mainly concentrated at the boundary groups and planar defects. It can be oxidized at high temperatures or react with oxidizing acids to produce products such as CO and CO ¡ãC Graphene can also be connected to oxygen-containing groups to generate graphene oxide, or connected to other groups to generate corresponding derivatives.
Graphene can be synthesized through mechanical exfoliation, chemical vapor deposition, redox, electrochemical and other methods.

Application Fields

The theoretical application fields of graphene include but are not limited to the following aspects:

In the field of electronics, silicon can be used as a substitute for chip materials, applied in transistors, integrated circuits, flexible screens, wearable devices, solar charging, etc;
In the field of heat dissipation materials: it can be used for heat dissipation of LED lamps and other products, with a system cost reduction of at least 30%. It can also be applied for heat dissipation of smartphones, tablets, high-power energy-saving LED lighting, satellite circuits, laser weapons, etc;
In the automotive field, it can be applied to automotive lubricants, power vehicles, night vision functions, tires, etc., greatly reducing the weight of the battery and reducing the overall weight of the vehicle, extending the battery life, and greatly improving the range and charging speed of electric vehicles;
Biomedical field: can be used for biosensors, drug delivery platforms, tissue engineering, biological imaging, etc;
Military industry: can be applied in aerospace and military industries, providing endless power for interstellar exploration, satellite orbit transformation, and other fields;
Energy field: can be used for new energy devices such as lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, solar cells, etc;
Composite materials field: can be used to produce new generation polymers and composite materials with stronger performance;
Sensor field: can be used for the diagnosis of glucose, cholesterol, hemoglobin, and cancer cells, and can also be used as a pH sensor to detect pollutants;
Coating field: can be used on various surfaces from glass to metal to improve corrosion resistance, new generation waterproof equipment, etc;
Conductive printing and packaging field: It can provide high conductivity, flexibility, high-speed printing, and low-temperature curing, opening the door to printed electronic products for special applications.

Superman is really SUPER!
Format: Paperback
Fans of superheroes cannot do without this collection of the earliest stories of the Man of Tomorrow. Superman is the epitome of what followed in the era of early superheroes and laid the groundwork for comics even today, as well as radio, TV and movie versions.

Nice collection
Format: Paperback
This is completely worth the money and the time to read. It's like taking a time machine to before he was famous. Man, this is not like present day stories and art. To me this is a history book for every comic book fan. Much like the Bstman Chronicles.

Exciting and fast paced
Format: Kindle
Loved the stories within stories flashbacks. It all ties in nicely in the end and leaves a cool cliffhanger. The art is fantastic and so is the sifting in of beloved Star Wars characters from the past. Good storyline to follow!

Great way to add even more depth to Black Spire Outpost
Format: Paperback
Having just visited Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, I really enjoyed learning more layers of depth and stories from there with this collection of comics. Having read "A Crash of Fate" and "Black Spire" was a great way to do that as well, but this was obviously a quicker read, and also spanned many different times and with some different characters, too. Great for readers with shorter attention spans, too! Recommended!

A great tie-in to the Disney parks
Format: Paperback
Welcome to the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu! I haven't been yet, but you may have if you've recently visited Disney World or Disney Land. There's obviously a lot of references to how the actual park looks. The cover featured the Millenium Falcon just like the actual attraction. This graphic novel tells one story focusing on one of the original characters made for the parks: Dok-Ondar. Within the big story there are four smaller tales being retold. Han Solo deals with a baby sarlacc. Greedo's ego is showcased. Hando comes in contact with the Guardians of the Whills. And, Doctor Aphra travels to the Sith Homeworld of Moraband. Each of these stories show off different aspects of the park that you can see for yourself if you go in person. This is what Star Wars does so well, making connections and building a big lived-in world. There are plenty of wonderful references. Ki-Adi-Mundi and Chirrut are just two of my favorites. Dok-Ondar is the true star of this book. He's an underworld mastermind. I give this book a 3.5/5. It's full of fun stories with connections to the park and featured characters from different eras. This definitely is a tie-in story, though.
