The Barsoomian Battle Manual (softcover, 50 pages, copyright 1978) is in high level excellent condition. The interior pages are in very clean, very smooth, high level condition with only minor flaws. The cover is in excellent condition as there are slight flaws such as wear to the upper side of the left edge, a tiny amount of wear at the bottom edge near the right corner, and several minor to trivial flaws, but for all that the cover art is in beautiful shape (see enlargeable picture). The pictures have striations to the background color of the cover art which don't exist on the actual product. The mostly blank back cover has general minor soiling with a bit more soiling. Note the Sutler's Wagon stamp on the back cover. Chicago area gamers have many fond memories of Jeff Sutler (a wonderful man) and his shop, which was one of the best for many years.

In the 1970's Heritage Models had a line of licensed John Carter miniatures and as a supplement published this set of minatures combat rules to accompany them. Barsoomian Battle Manual is written by Scott Bizar who also designed SPI's licensed John Carter Warlord of Mars game and who is best known for being the founder and owner of Fantasy Games Unlimited.
For shipping this book will be wrapped in plastic and taped between two unbent pieces of cardboard.
