Congress authorized the organization of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (later renamed Women's Army Corps) in 1942, and hundreds of women were able to join in the war effort. Charity Edna Adams became the first black woman commissioned as an officer. Black members of the WAC had to fight the prejudices not only of males who did not want women in their "man's army," but also of those who could not accept blacks in positions of authority or responsibility, even in the segregated military. With unblinking candor, Charity Adams Earley tells of her struggles and successes as the WAC's first black officer and as commanding officer of the only organization of black women to serve overseas during World War II. The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion broke all records for redirecting military mail as she commanded the group through its moves from England to France and stood up to the racist slurs of the general under whose command the battalion operated. The Six Triple Eight stood up for its commanding officer, supporting her boycott of segregated living quarters and recreational facilities. Perfect material for comfort & offering different lengths for taller women!

Great pants with different lengths. I love these pants& being 5β8 I wanted a longer length for wearing heels so the33 inch long works great. I plan on dry cleaning to keep them looking new! I now own 4 pairs & waiting for more colors to be available in the long length.

Great quality, a bit frumpy
Just ok. Probably should have returned these as I feel a bit like a grandma when I wear them,
So they hang in my closet. Not super flattering but nice quality and fabric. Thickness is perfect. Style just isnβt for me but comfy

Amazing Fit For Tall Senior Slim Person!

I usually wear a size 8 or 10 or medium. But being 5 foot 11 and weigh 145, itβs very hard to find pants that fit. These in medium are great lightweight and long enough that they touch the floor in the back. Being older I have extra weight in my stomach and waist, but the waist is wide and not tight. It fits nice in the back also and the rise is long enough. Great summer pants for our hot weather in Florida. Even if they do pill some, I have a gadget that removes any pilling so not worried about that. I got the medium in the teal color which is not as bright but a nice color.

Pilling
I loved these pants very much when I first purchased them the fit was amazing and the length was even better. Pants are very flattering. I wore them for the first time a few days ago only for a couple hours and pilling happened immediately! I am very annoyed at that fact because I purchased these pants at the end of March and I am not in my return window! I am Not a happy customer at all. Waste of money

Bought again but note the material was different .

Love these pants . Good quality. Good material and made well. Bought a second pair but they are lighter weight material which is nice for the summer. Will buy again. First heavier white material did not shrink. Not sure about the most recent material as I havenβt washed them yet. Size true to fit
