This collection was spawned when we visited the beach in 2022, it was the first time in years that either of us had been to the beach. Driving along the coast of California we saw so many rocks jutting out of the water and massive trees just above the coastline.
One of our local wood shops started carrying wood burls right before we left and I had grabbed two to start with, and I was mulling over ideas of what I could use them on. When we were flying back I knew I had to make them into epoxy pieces mimicking waves crashing into the rocks and shorelines.
There is only one of each piece, and each piece has a different hue and character to it. These are made of epoxy and wood burls.
This collection is a huge part of me personally and professionally and I really hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
